Mr. Shah Alam, FCA, is a seasoned Chartered Accountant and fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), holding Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Commerce from the University of Chittagong. With over a decade as CEO in the insurance sector, he led Prime Life Insurance and Meghna Life Insurance Companies Limited, bringing expertise in finance and operations management. Beyond the insurance sector, Mr. Alam has extensive experience as a financial consultant for over 11 years on projects funded by ADB, the World Bank, JICA, and ODA. His work included high-profile initiatives like the Jamuna Multi Purpose Bridge and Dhaka Integrated Flood Protection Project, showcasing his strategic and financial insight in large scale projects. Renowned for his strengths in financial control, corporate strategy, and human resource development, Mr. Alam is skilled in process improvement and change management. He has traveled extensively, presenting at national and international seminars, including a keynote on Financial Control & Management in Bahrain in 2010. Currently, Mr. Alam is the Senior Partner at Ahmed Masum & Co., Chartered Accountants, where he continues to provide leadership and expertise across sectors.
